This year, we support local culture. In cooperation with Estrada Poznańska, an organizer of the city's cultural events, we printed the graphic motif of the Long Night of Museums (Noc Muzeów) on our Charles fabric, which served as a material for the festival gadgets. We provided the fabric free of charge for the purposes of the event.
During the Long Night of Museums, galleries, museums and cultural institutions offer free access to their collections. In addition to permanent exhibitions, it is possible to see specially prepared exhibitions, listen to lectures, and participate in shows, workshops, concerts and film screenings. Every year, nearly 40 institutions, galleries and other organisations participate in Poznań Long Night of Museums, preparing a program covering over 150 events. Last year, the number of visitors in Poznań reached over 70,000.
This year, the graphic motif for the Long Night of Museums was created by graphic designer Ana Rudak. The leitmotif was printed on a durable velvet Charles fabric. The upholstery backing (a layer of fabric, glued from the bottom, maintaining the stability of the top layer), rendered the expected intensity of colour.
The Kuluza studio sewed 100 bags and 300 hip pouches for the event. Following the idea of upcycling, apart from the printed fabric, unused jeans donated by the residents of Poznań during the collection event organised by Estrada and titled "Dej Mnie Te Dżinsy" ("Gimme those jeans") were used to make the hip pouches.
The products are characterized by a fabric pleasant to the touch and this season’s incredibly fashionable colour - neon orange, which we combined with donated denim to make the hip pouches - writes the Long Night of Museums’ organiser on their website.
The collaboration with Estrada is part of our cooperation with cultural institutions programme. More information about the events that we support can be found here.
