Ligne Pure collection 2020

The current carpet collection from the Belgian company Ligne Pure is dominated by minimalist, rather subdued coloured carpets, often with flat, textured weaves, which match contemporary interiors – both modern and minimalist, in the Scandinavian or wabi-sabi style. The new line of patterns certainly catches the eye – inspired by light, with chiaroscuro effects on varied textures and painterly colour effects. Interior decorators will also appreciate carpets with matching accessories in the form of bedspreads and cushions.

This year's collection is quite diverse in terms of styles and textiles used. Apart from ethnic craftsmanship inspirations, it features geometric motifs, stripes and checked patterns, as well as colour-blocking – earth tones are paired with subtle pastels and broken shades of e.g. red, orange and blue. Traditionally for Ligne Pure, the dominating raw material is wool but bamboo silk, viscose and hemp fibre also appear in the collection.
