Dekoma’s fabric Foga was incorporated in the setting of an exhibition devoted to the history of “Vogue Poland”, which took place on 15-17 September 2023 in the Xawery Dunikowski Museum of Sculpture in Warsaw’s Królikarnia (The Rabbit House).
The palace interiors of Królikarnia were filled with photographs, videos and stories documenting the 5-year history of the Polish edition of the Vogue magazine. Visitors could see all covers of “Vogue Poland”, from the first one, shot by Jurgen Teller in front of Warsaw’s Palace of Culture and Science, to the latest cover of the September 2023 issue, traditionally devoted to fashion and the new season collections. In the last five years, household names featured on the cover of “Vogue Poland” have included Jane Fonda, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, Christy Turlington, Anja Rubik, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Paloma Elsesser.
The exhibition provided a perfect opportunity to learn about the nitty-gritty of the editors’ daily work and the way the magazine is created. These topics were discussed by Filip Niedenthal, former Editor-in-Chief of “Vogue Poland”, and his successor, Ina Lekiewicz Levy.
The setting for the event was designed by Poznań’s Supergirls Do Design studio. When entering the portico of Królikarnia, the guests were greeted with a decorative vermilion drapery made from the Foga Coconut Milk fabric featuring the magazine’s white printed logo. The piece corresponded with the other elements of the exhibition setting (e.g. the colour of glass cases) and the impressive flower decorations in the palace lobby. The fabric we donated to the organisers was also employed inside the museum as an element of the exhibition setting - this time in the white colour variant with a vermilion print.
Foga is a flame retardant, semi-transparent net curtain made from 100% recycled polyester yarn with a very natural appearance and handle. Being matte and soft to the touch, it resembles cotton batiste. Foga is easy to maintain, wrinkle-free and UV resistant, which makes it a great solution for both high-interior decoration and untypical, scenographic or designer applications.
